What's included in each shipment?

Each delivery includes 3 beautifully designed Chatterbook planners — one for each month of the upcoming quarter. Yearly subscribers also receive bonus extras like tabs, stickers, and seasonal gifts.

When will my planners arrive?

We ship four times a year—in January, April, July, and October.
Your first delivery will begin with the next scheduled shipment after you subscribe.

What’s the difference between the Yearly, Half-Yearly, and 3-Month Intro Pack?

All options include the same Chatterbook layout—dated monthly planners delivered
in bundles of three.
Yearly Subscription – Includes 12 planners delivered across 4 shipments.
Billed once per year. Offers the best value with bonus extras included.
Half-Yearly Subscription – Includes 6 planners over 2 shipments. Billed
every 6 months. Great for short-term planning or joining mid-year.
3-Month Intro Pack – Includes 3 planners in one shipment. A one-time
purchase to try Chatterbook with no ongoing commitment.

How much does it cost?

Yearly Subscription – $1,199.40 per year (12 planners at $99.95 each)

Half-Yearly Subscription – $659.70 every 6 months (6 planners at $109.95
each)

3-Month Intro Pack – $389.85 (one-time purchase, 3 planners at $129.95
each)

What if my order arrives damaged?

Email us within 7 days of delivery with photos — we’ll send a replacement if damaged by us

Can I return my planner?

Because Chatterbooks are dated and made in small runs, we can’t offer returns for change of mind — but we’ll help if something goes wrong.

Can I join anytime?

We offer two intakes per year — January and July. Subscribe anytime and you'll be added to the next available intake.

What is Chatterbook?

Chatterbook is a monthly paper planner designed for support teams and families supporting individuals with complex or non-verbal needs. It keeps communication simple, beautiful, and on paper — no tech required.

Can I purchase just one Chatterbook planner?

At this time, Chatterbook is only available through subscription. This allows us to print in efficient, small-batch runs and ensure you’re always stocked for the months ahead.

Can I gift Chatterbook subscription?

Yes! Many families and organisations gift Chatterbook to others. Simply use the recipient’s name and address at checkout. For personalised help, contact us directly.

I missed the pre order window. What can I do?

Pre-orders close ahead of production to ensure timely delivery. If you missed out, you’ll be added to the next available intake (January or July). We recommend signing up early!

What makes Chatterbook different from other planners?

Chatterbook isn’t a typical diary — it’s a support team communication tool designed specifically for individuals with complex needs. It’s paper-based, beautifully designed, and focuses on daily notes, routines, goals, and wins. No apps. No tech stress. It focus on the individual and works to make everyone be on the same page with care and support!

Will I receive an invoice for NDIS claims?

Yes. A tax invoice will be emailed to you after each payment. This can be used for
claiming through self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding.
Chatterbook is not subject to GST, and this will be clearly shown on your invoice.

Can I write in it with any pen or marker?

Absolutely! The paper is smooth and thick (120gsm), so it works well with most pens and markers — including gel pens and highlighters.

Can I skip a delivery if I don't need one?

No—because Chatterbooks are dated and delivered on a fixed schedule, skipping a
shipment isn’t available.

Do you ship Australia wide?

Absolutely. Chatterbook is available to families and organisations all across Australia. For special shipping needs, just reach out.

Can I customise the planner for our unique needs?

Right now, all planners are pre-formatted for ease and consistency. However, we’re always open to feedback for future editions — tell us what you’d love to see!

Are the planner designs always the same?

No — Chatterbook covers rotate throughout the year, with 3 to 4 designs in circulation. Each delivery brings a fresh look, while the inside layout stays consistent, clean, and easy to use. More designs will be added in the future!

Can I claim Chatterbook through the NDIS?

Yes! Many families successfully use self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding to
claim Chatterbook. It’s typically covered through Core Supports (like daily tools) or
lowcost assistive technology when it clearly helps with communication and daily
routine planning. Please check with your Plan Manager, support coordinator, or NDIS contact to confirm which budget your subscription fits into. We’re not healthcare providers, so everyone’s plan is different—but we’re happy to help explain where Chatterbook might align with your funding.
Always check with your plan manager, LAC (Local Area Coordinator), or support coordinator before submitting a claim.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Yes. Both subscription plans have a minimum commitment to avoid overproducing
dated materials and to give your team time to build a consistent routine.

  • The Yearly Subscription is billed upfront for 12 months.
  • The Half-Yearly Subscription requires a 6-month commitment (two
    deliveries). You can cancel any time after that, as long as it’s before your next
    billing date.
  • The 3-Month Intro Pack is a one-time purchase with no ongoing
    commitment.
